Step-by-Step Instructions for Adding Students
Step 1: Access Roster Management
After creating your class, you can immediately begin adding students by clicking the Add Students Now button. Alternatively, you can add students later by navigating to your class settings and selecting Roster from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Import Students
Within the Roster section, click on Import Students. This option allows you to add multiple students simultaneously.
Step 3: Enter Student Information
On the import screen, enter the student details in the following format: first name, last name, unique username, and password. Ensure each entry is separated by commas. For example, John, Doe, johndoe123, password123.
Step 4: Handle Unique Usernames
Make sure that the usernames are unique across the Explorers platform. Note: Although students will not use these usernames or passwords to access the program, they are required for operational consistency within the platform.
Step 5: Review and Edit Entries
After entering all student data, review the information for accuracy. If a username has already been taken or any other errors are present, you can edit the entries before finalizing the import.
Step 6: Finalize Import
Once all information is correct, click Next to the import confirmation page. Review your entries, then click Import to complete the process.
Step 7: Confirmation
After the import is successful, a confirmation message will appear indicating that the students have been added to your class. You are now ready to assign lessons and engage with your students.
