Video guide: ⏯️ Creating a Class

Step 1: Starting the Process

To begin creating a new class, click on the dropdown menu next to "All Classes" on the top left of the home screen. Then, click the plus button next to "Classes" to initiate the class creation process.

Step 2: Naming the Class

Enter a name for your class that is specific to the group of students who will be receiving instruction. The name you choose should help you easily identify the class within the SPIRE platform.

Step 3: Selecting Grade and Subject

Select the appropriate grade level and subject matter for your class using the dropdown menus. This will ensure that your class is categorized correctly within the system and that you can access the appropriate instructional materials.

Step 4: License Verification

SPIRE will automatically select and associate your license with the new class. This verification process ensures that you have the necessary permissions to access the platform's resources for your class.

Step 5: Adding Students

The final step in creating your class is to add students. You can add students individually or import a list of students from a file. Adding students to your class is crucial for utilizing the platform's assessment and reporting features and assigning and tracking individual student progress.

Following these five simple steps, your new class will be set up and ready to go in no time. You'll be able to access your class from the home screen and start using SPIRE's powerful features for instruction and assessment to support your students' learning journey.
