Getting Started Coach Digital Compass - Teachers
Thank you for using the Coach Digital Compass program. This versatile program provides content and materials for teacher-led or guided instruction. It also provides practice for students with standard and assignment reporting. The program aims to provide teachers with a host of resources to support accelerated learning for the whole class, plus remediation of unfinished learning for those who need it the most. This guide will provide a condensed outline for teachers to set up their classes, assign content, and view reports.
Creating Classes
Teachers must first set up their classes to begin assigning material. If your school uses Clever or ClassLink to roster students, your classes will likely already be created in Coach Digital Compass. However, if you log into the program manually, you will need to create your own classes.
To manually create a class, from the drop-down menu in the toolbar, select Classes,
Select Add a Class. (Note: On this page, for an existing class, you can Copy, Delete, Edit, View Groups, Print Letters, Print Rosters, and View Rosters, by clicking the Actions drop-down),
Fill in the fields on the Add a Class page,
You can filter through the students by grade and/or last name,
Add students by selecting the box next to their name.
Select Save to finish adding the class.
Coach Digital Compass Content
Coach Digital lessons are available under the Content link which is available in the the top toolbar menu. Under here, you will find Books, Lessons, Assessments, Catch Up with Coach, Placement Tests, and other classroom materials. Teachers can browse this material by choosing the subject and grade(s).
To view Coach Digital content, choose your preferred Subject and Grade(s). You can choose more than one grade.
Under the Library, you will find all of your program titles. You can browse through our courses or filter by standard. The books and lessons available will appear at the center of the page, and additional instructional material can be found on the left-hand toolbar. If you want to see the kinds of titles we have in this program, please see the workbook lists in the linked files (these are for titles within grades 1 to 8).
