Coach Digital Compass and Catch Up with Coach allow for teachers and administrators to add co-teachers to classes. This feature will enable any staff at your school to have the same privileges as teachers for a given class, including grading assignments and viewing reports. If you are using our rostering partner, Clever, then the co-teacher will be setup automatically by the system. However, for manual users, there is a process to add a co-teacher to your class. This process can be performed by a school administrator or a teacher. Please follow the steps below:
Click into your Manage Class page. After logging into the program, click on the drop-down arrow next to your name. On the menu that displays, click Classes.
Edit your class. Once you are on your Manage Class page, find your class of choice, and choose the Actions button at the end of the row for the class of your choice. A list of options will appear. Choose Edit.
Add a Co-Teacher. On the Edit Class page, you will see a section for Co-Teachers. This will list the co-teacher in your class. If there are no co-teachers, it will show “None”.
To add the co-teacher, click the drop-down next to “Add Co-Teacher” and choose the teacher you wish to add to this class. Click Add and then Save.
After you’ve added the co-teacher to your class, the teacher will be listed on the Manage Class page. The co-teacher will be able to make assignments, view past assignments, grade questions, and view the alerts and reports for the class.
If the primary teacher or school administrator removes the co-teacher, the user will receive the following message:
”Are you sure you want to remove this co-teacher? Any of their assignments will be permanently transferred to the primary teacher. This is not reversible.”
