Coach Digital Compass_4C (1).png

Coach Digital is a versatile toolkit designed to help create engaging and effective lessons.

This article provides teachers and administrators with a step-by-step guide for using the Assessment Builder feature. Pulling from comprehensive math and ELA question banks, the Assessment Builder enables teachers to customize assessments for measuring student growth. It also provides the flexibility to create practice activities for reinforcing concept mastery. Content within the Assessment Builder targets grades 3-8.

Access this feature from the navigation bar and select Question Bank.

Next, set the criteria best suited for the assessment. The "Product" drop-down menu lists the resources available based on the school's site license. More than one "Question Type" can be selected, such as multi-select and fill-in-the-blank. The "Standard" drop-down menu gives you the option to only pull questions that are specific to the skills being assessed.

When setting the criteria, the question bank can also be searched by key word.

Next, the filtered search returns a question bank from which the assessment can be built. In the following example, 13 questions are presented for selected ELA standards.

"Preview" allows you to access the reading passage(s) (or math problems and answer options) associated with those questions.

The "7" indicates there are seven questions connected to that passage. It is also hyperlinked which enables you to preview the questions, and to choose which ones are included on the assessment.

Click anywhere on an individual question and drag it onto the assessment form.

Once completed, be sure to name the assessment and include any instructions to students. Then, select SAVE.
