Tell Me More About Reports for Administrators in Catch Up with Coach

This article explains the purpose of- and how-to for generating the reports that are available for Catch Up with Coach. It is divided into two parts: Monitoring Progress and Management Reporting

Part 1: Monitoring Progress
There are multiple ways to monitor progress in Catch Up with Coach. The program offers Progress reports, Assessment (or Assignment) Reports, and Skills Reports.

The Catch Up with Coach Progress Report report compares class data throughout a curriculum. The results shown are from each concept unit's pre-unit and post-unit tests.

From the navigation bar, select the Reporting tab. A drop-down menu of report options will appear. Select Catch Up with Coach Progress Report.

The Coach Digital Compass Teacher Dashboard displays the Reporting menu expanded. The Catch Up With Coach Progress Report option is highlighted in the dropdown.

Next, set the search criteria including the class name, subject, and grade level.

The Catch Up With Coach Progress Report page shows a data visualization comparing class performance. A bar graph displays pre-unit and post-unit scores across different math concepts. Users can filter the report by class, subject, and grade.

Then, place the cursor on the red bar to move it to the applicable proficiency level. The percentage will appear on the right-hand side and will change as the bar is shifted. Note that the unit pre- and post-tests are specified at the bottom of the graph.

(Note: Select Lesson Planner from the navigation bar to explore the library of unit pre- and post-tests in Catch Up with Coach. Then, set your criteria at the top of the page.)

For specific details, open the Assessment Reporting feature. This report provides assessment data and performance outcomes by skill. To begin, select the Digital Assessments tab from the navigation bar. Then, under the grade, select “Report.”

There are two options for viewing the reports:  data by assessment and data by skill.

When Assessment is selected, a class performance summary is first presented. The percentages given represent results based on the proficiency level previously set. These are not specific assessment scores.

To view specific score data, select View for the applicable assessment.

To drill down further, select the bar graph icon next to a score to view a student's individual work.

Another avenue for analyzing student data is the Export Student Scores Report, which generates a comprehensive spreadsheet. To limit the scope of the results, set your criteria at the top. Alternatively, to gain a school-wide view, set the fields to "All."
