Reading Assistant is like reading with your teacher or with anyone else. Sometimes (like when you're reading for a test) Reading Assistant will just listen to you read and will not interrupt your reading. Other times, Reading Assistant will talk with you to give help you help with reading and /or understanding the words. Reading Assistant may also ask you questions about the story you read.

Logging In

  1. Log in by going to https://www.amiratutor.com/, and typing in your username and passwordusing Clever, Classlink, or your district-specific URL.

 

  1. Make Sure the Microphone Works

If logging into Reading Assistant for the first time, you will get Reading Assistant’s ready Module. Reading Assistant may ask you to allow the microphone.

Then Reading Assistant will ask you to help wake up her dog Spot to check your microphone and volume.

Reading a Practice Story

  1. Choose What to Do

  2. Click/Tap Read a story to read a Practice story.

  3. If reading a Practice story for the first time, Reading Assistant will begin the story after clicking/tapping Read a story.
