    Activity Overview

    This activity will focus on phonogram cards and will take approximately five minutes. Drilling phonograms with the students is an essential part of the lesson.

     

    Eyes on Teacher Mode

    The activity is conducted in "Eyes on Teacher Mode," meaning that students will direct their attention to the teacher's instructions and the phonogram cards displayed on the teacher's device.

     

    Accessing Phonogram Cards

    • Teachers will begin the activity by reading the instructions to ensure they know how to proceed.

    • Next, teachers will click on the phonogram card below the pink boxes on their screen. This action opens a separate tab in the browser, displaying a gallery of enlarged phonogram cards for easy viewing and scrolling.

     

    Conducting the Drill

    • With the phonogram cards displayed, teachers will guide students through the drill, helping them associate each card with its corresponding sound(s).

    • The enlarged cards in the separate tab facilitate clear viewing for the entire class, making it easier for students to follow along.

     

    Wrapping Up the Activity

    • Once the phonogram card drill is complete, teachers should close the separate tab containing the phonogram cards. This action returns the teacher to the main lesson tab.

    • Closing the phonogram cards tab is essential for progressing the lesson and ensuring the classroom focuses on the next activity.
