    Duration

    This activity is designed to be completed in approximately 5 minutes, making it a quick and effective tool for reinforcing phonics skills.

     

    Accessing the Activity

    The Word Building activity is accessed by clicking on a purple box within the iSPIRE platform.

    Upon clicking, a separate tab will open for the teacher and students, where the activity will be displayed.

     

    Conducting the Activity

    Students will engage with the activity by manipulating letter tiles according to the teacher's instructions, which are located on the main lesson tab. These instructions ensure that students remain aligned with the lesson's objectives.

    It's important to note that students do not submit their work in this activity. Instead, the teacher is encouraged to circulate the classroom, observing and reviewing students' work in real-time to provide immediate feedback or assistance.

    Completing the Activity

    • Once the activity is completed, it is crucial for both the teacher and students to close the separate tab that was opened for the word-building exercise. This action is necessary to return to the main lesson tab and continue with the rest of the lesson.

    • Closing the tab also ensures that the student devices are resynchronized with the teacher's device, maintaining the flow and coherence of the lesson.

    Interactive Engagement: The hands-on Word Building activity requires students' active participation as they work with letter tiles to construct words.
